Last night I was working on a paper when I received an email alert from Ticketmaster about the Sara Bareilles concert on Thursday, October 23 at the new House of Blues in Houston! I was so excited. This was a presale so I immediately bought a pair of standing room tickets.

The next morning, Jason received an email from Ticketmaster about the Weezer tour dates and oh yes, they are coming to Houston on Thursday, October 23.

I love Sara, but Weezer is one of my all time faves. Does anyone want to purchase 2 Sara Bareilles tickets? I will give you a great deal...

Great Buy: Target

I bought this dress last week at Target:

I paired this dress with a long gold vintage chain that I have had forever, gold drop earrings from NY&Co, and nude strappy sandals that bought at Macy's years ago.

Maxi Dresses

I am obsessed with Maxi Dresses right now, but I have a hard time finding them. I have one cute Gap dress that I found at the outlets in San Marcos. I see them all the time on celebrities, but those are never in my price range. Has anyone seen any under $100?

Here are a few pics to inspire you. Celebs that are big supporters of the maxi dress are Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, Gwen Stefani, Nicole Richie, Eva Mendez, and Jessica Alba. These dresses are so comfy and look great with casual summer sandals, big sunglasses, and even a summer scarf.

I found this dress at Nordstorm's in the junior section for $68.00. I am considering it...what do you think? It comes in other colors like I actually like better. I think this would be cute paired with a denim jacket.

Bachelorette Update: Graham Bunn

US Weekly reported that the Bachelorette contestant, Graham Bunn is now dating Soap Star Chrishell Stause of ABC's All My Children. This must be a slap in the face for DeAnna because we all know she was smitten by Graham more than he was of her. Bunn was quoted in US Weekly saying that his new squeeze is "the most beautiful person I've met" and that "I see a future with her." They have been dating for 2 months. Good luck you two!

Death of Bernie Mac

I hate that comedian, Bernie Mac died at such a young age, 50. He will be missed. Life is too short.

"Beach Reads"

I really do not know how I find the time to read. Between work and studying I should not want to read anything else on the weekends or at night, but I do. Yes, I realize that I should be minimizing my pleasure reading time in order to increase my MBA reading, but what's the fun in that?

I tend to stick with the same few authors because I love them and because it is less risky. I am almost guaranteed to enjoy it. I would love to start a discussion about what you are reading so I can branch out a little. Any suggestions? I am more than willing to book swap with anyone.
